Keep the Mold Away

This summers weather has been abnormally humid for Colorado. Boulder County typically has a dry climate but when the humidity reaches a certain point, it can cause mold to grow if your home is not ventilated properly. If you want to keep your home mold-free it is important to keep an eye on the humidity level inside.  The use of humidifiers is especially something to monitor closely in order to ensure that you are not creating an environment that mold loves. To avoid mold growth it is best to keep your home’s humidity in the mid-30s. Any higher and you run the risk of promoting the growth of mold! Mold is not only unpleasant to look at and to smell, but is also linked to many respiratory illnesses.
