I grew up in Grosse Pointe Michigan which was formative in my understanding and appreciation of architecture and the importance of open spaces as Grosse Pointe is on the shore of Lake St. Claire.  The variety of styles was enormous with our own Georgian Colonial to homes by Albert Kahn and Mies van der Rohe, it instilled in me a love of the multitude of styles possible.

I was educated at the Grosse Pointe Academy, New Hampton Boarding School and the American University of Paris.

As the youngest of four I am used to navigating compromise and finding solutions to multiple requests.

I moved to Boulder to start Cure Organic Farm and be the curator at Stage House Books & Prints in 2004.

I run my own production company, Mea Culpa LLC which hosts the discussion series, We Need To Talk  as a way to bring diverse personalities and viewpoints together to discuss common interests.

Working in food production and hospitality has given me the opportunity to connect farmers and chefs in multiple scenarios especially through Slow Food International which I am a proud supporter of.

I participate in multiple organizations including the Aspen Institute ( Executive Leadership Fellow) Highland Institute (Fellow), Boulder Rotary ( Community Outreach), Conference on World Affairs, Historic Boulder (fFormer Vice-President), Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, St Thomas Aquinas, Boulder Country Day School, Ironman Foundation, American University of Paris (Mentor).

I am the proud father of Georgia and Lauren and can be found rallying the crew for Riptide Swim Team, Boulder XC Team and trying to imitate Roger Federer on the tennis court.
