Boulder ranked 13th place within the whole country as the best city for new graduates in 2016 according to a report published by the personal finance company ValuePenguin.
ValuePenguin evaluated 382 metropolitan areas across 27 data points. These include student debt, transportation, median annual salary, cost of living and more.
These key data points were broken down into three main categories: jobs, affordability, and lifestyle. The overall rank was determined by how each city scored within these categories.
Boulder earned the top spot in the lifestyle category, beating out Burlington and Missoula, Montana.
The lifestyle category comprises of recreational establishments, entertainment venues, and educational opportunities. This category also includes the general qualities of the population.
